Learn to teach from the body you actually live in, or deepen the way you understand your own body.
An independent 200-hour yoga teacher training in Southern France with Ilias Kousis and Charlie Speller. This training is for people who want to teach from an embodied, authentic place, and for those who want to understand their bodies on a deeper level, even if teaching is not their goal.
You will explore nervous-system literacy, applied anatomy, breath, alignment, sequencing, respectful hands-on skills, one-to-one teaching, online teaching and the development of an authentic teaching voice.
Join the waitlist before 29 September 2026 to receive the founding tuition of €2,900. Joining the waitlist is free and does not commit you to participating.
How this training is different
Technique matters. So does the person standing in front of you.
We are building this training around a simple question: can you feel, see and respond well enough to teach the person who is actually in the room?
You will learn anatomy, alignment, sequencing and teaching methodology. You will also learn to listen, work with the nervous system, recognise individual variation and teach from a voice that is yours rather than borrowed.
The aim is not performance. It is the capacity to teach a simple, powerful class with intelligence, presence and care.
What you will learn
This is the through-line of the full 200 hours.
Method, anatomy and practice become useful when they change how you feel, see and respond.
Develop a direct relationship with breath, sensation, alignment and the nervous system. Refine your own practice so that your teaching begins in lived experience rather than theory.
Read individual variation with more intelligence. Work with pain, injury, pregnancy and different bodies; use consent-based hands-on support when appropriate.
Build coherent sequences, cue clearly and teach groups, private clients and online classes without losing your own voice.
The 200-hour journey
Twenty in-person training days in Southern France, supported by guided preparation, applied online study and a post-training launch clinic.
Pre-training preparation | begins six weeks before Module 1
A guided reading and media list, self-study and an online meeting with Ilias and Charlie so you arrive oriented and ready to work.
Module 1 | 29 May–7 June 2027
Ten in-person training days: learn to feel, learn to see and begin to teach. Please allow one travel day before and after the module.
Integration period | June–September 2027
Applied anatomy and nervous-system study with Nataliya, a Digital Teaching Lab, online practicum, peer feedback and mentoring give you time to apply the work before returning.
Module 2 | 11–20 September 2027
Ten further in-person training days: teach for an effect, teach the person, teach as yourself and teach in the world. Please allow one travel day before and after the module.
Post-training support | six weeks later
A free three-hour Teaching Launch Clinic with Ilias and Charlie to help you meet the reality of beginning to teach.
Across the full journey, the curriculum includes embodied practice and alignment; functional anatomy and nervous-system literacy; breath, pranayama and meditation; cueing, sequencing and repeated practicum; one-to-one and online teaching; respectful hands-on skills; consent, boundaries, ceremony and sustainable professional foundations.
Who this is for
This will be an active apprenticeship, not a passive course.
You do not need to arrive with a finished teaching voice. You do need curiosity, commitment and a willingness to practise being seen.
The training is limited to a maximum of 12 participants. Small numbers mean repeated teaching practice, individual feedback, direct access to us and enough time to work with the gifts and blind spots each trainee brings.
You want rigorous embodied study, direct feedback, a small cohort and the courage to discover how you actually teach.
You mainly want a fast certificate, a catalogue of poses to repeat, or a passive course with little practice teaching and feedback.
